Early Morning Call for Happisburgh RNLI Volunteer Crew

This morning, 19th January, the pagers sounded at 3.45am to alert the crew to respond to a missing man in the Walcott area, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, with fears that he had gone onto the beach.

The crew responded in force with fifteen on Station by 3.55am. Just as the Station’s D – Class Lifeboat was about to enter the water a call came from the Coastguard, the man had been found safe and sound. Crew Matt Bales, Tim Grimmer and Jake Munday returned the boat to Station.

All the crew then returned home to get back to bed.
